The ETS-Lindgren Acoustic Research Laboratory (ARL) offers acoustic testing services in accordance with a wide range of standardized test methods. The ETS-Lindgren ARL is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP lab code 100286-0) administered through the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In addition to standardized testing, ARL also conducts customized test programs to answer client-specific product research and development needs, to develop trustworthy independently proven product marketing information, or ensure product compliance requirements. The ETS-Lindgren ARL is comprised of multiple acoustic test chambers, state-of-the-art measurement equipment and customized software, as well as expert staff.

The facility in Cedar Park – the global headquarters of ETS-Lindgren – is designed to showcase the wireless test solutions that ETS-Lindgren has pioneered over the years. In December 2002, ETS-Lindgren became the first CTIA Authorized Test Lab (CATL) for mobile station radiated performance testing. The different wireless test systems found here allow ETS-Lindgren to continually research and test the latest advances in the wireless test industry.

This doesn’t include the 3m semi-anechoic chamber used for testing both ETS-Lindgren electronics products for regulatory compliance as well as testing various absorber treatments and lighting solutions. The calibration lab is A2LA-accredited and features one of the largest ground planes in North America for antenna calibration to a variety of international standards.

Technical Tour

The tour also includes a stop ETS-Lindgren’s expanded RF Filter production line where Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Commercial and Defense Tempest Powerline Filters are manufactured. These filters meet point-of-entry requirements of MIL-STD-188-125-1, -1A, and -2 for short and intermediate pulses while providing high-insertion loss performance for SCIF, TEMPEST, and other military and commercial applications.

The RF Filter product line also includes ETS-Lindgren’s High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP)/EMP Commercial and Defense Non-Tempest Powerline Filters with Red Edge™ Technology to protect against damage to electronic equipment and loss of data caused by a sudden and intense EMP and intentional electromagnetic interference (IEMI). These filters provide excellent multi-stage, over-voltage, electromagnetic interference (EMI), and radio frequency interference (RFI) protection. Tour attendees can also see ETS-Lindgren’s Power, Signal (Sensor), Data, and Control-Line Filters.
